Croissant-Gate

----------------------------------------

The recipe I used for the croissants can be found at Dessert For Two. It's a small batch recipe so it only makes a a few croissants but that's what makes the recipe so approachable and it was an awesome Sunday treat for Michael and I.

You should check out her blog. Her photos are much nicer than mine (aren't everyone's though, I know you don't come here for the photography).

  1. Haha. I've made three-day-process croissants and I would absolutely lose my shit if someone snuck a few without me being able to watch the pleasure they got from eating them. I bet your Mum worried for years about the therapy you guys were going to need over this "incident".

    1. Haha, I think she thinks it's more funny than traumatic. We just use it as ammunition when she refuses to acknowledge that she's wrong ie. "You didn't think you were wrong about the croissants either...."

  2. Hilarious. I wasn't even around when this happened yet I still get to dine out on the story from time to time. Great to see you back in the cartooning business. Je suis Snoopy.

    1. Good luck! Let me know how they turn out. Actually my mum says that even though the recipe says to let them rise by double before baking, you should let them rise 3/4 and then start baking them in a cold oven, not preheated. She says the rising to double before baking could also have contributed to the yeasty taste.
